When it comes to all that CLRS & Co. are involved in, it has and always will be a no-holds-barred creative affair – our team is highly dedicated in cultivating innovation and celebrating diversity. One of CLRS & Co.’s first VM jobs was for the Cavendish branch of Fabiani – the high-end men’s suiting brand, revered for its classic, urban style with a fun modern twist. TDC was in charge of developing a new concept for the store – check out some images and read more about that, here.
This was a job that demanded pioneering spirit – and that we gave it… three-fold! CLRS’ Marcii Goosen (Creative Director), Christine Joubert (Interior Designer) and Stephanie Anastasopoulos (Creative Coordinator) travelled to the Garden of Eden to discover the allure of luxury and hints of temptation. We searched to find the ‘Gentlemen of the World’ and came face-to-face with modern thinkers whom honour tradition and have a penchant for luxury and true craftsmanship. The perfect fit in-between Classic-meets-Contemporary.
Our inspiration was also to look at art books – galleries in their own right, each page a timeless inspiration. Much like a Fabiani suit, art books are more than an object, they emulate a part of your identity and even if you put it aside for a while, when taking out again you rediscover its original wonder. We also looked at luxury and longevity, think a 10 Year Old Single Malt and just-polished silver treys; the artistry behind a tailored suit; and that sense of completion and final touches that are signified in cuffs. Finally we looked at expression of Time – in postcards, maps, cameras and record players… various routes of nostalgia that honoured heritage and gave us aspiration for new endeavours.
